About Me
I pick up a pencil, paintbrush, or gemstone with intention to create a piece that will move you spiritually when you view it upon completion. I want to take you on a journey of how I view the world and what lies beyond it, while letting you form your own opinion of how my creations relate to you. We may see things differently but we are all connected through our energy. -Carrie
Art has been a lifelong love for Carrie. As a child growing up on the coast of North Carolina in Beaufort, she took art classes after school, which nurtured that love.
Growing into her teen years, Carrie enjoyed drawing cars and portraits of people. It was at this time that she took up a job at a local jewelry store where she learned about gemstones, precious metals, and the art of engraving.
At the age of 21, Carrie decided that she would like to pursue art as a career and began to shift her college studies in that direction. She studied figure drawing and computer arts at the local community college and later continued her studies at UNC- Wilmington.
Carrie’s current work includes abstract paintings and realistic portraiture created with acrylic and oil paints. She also creates wire wrap jewelry with natural gemstones.
She finds inspiration for her paintings and jewelry in nature, people, and in her dreams. When she is not creating in her studio, she spends her time with her family, often frequenting live concerts or hanging out at the beach.
